Rosie is currently in her third year studying pharmacology as part of her BSc sandwich course at Nottingham Trent University. Here’s her first impressions after being with Neuro-Bio, working as an intern, since the end of September:

“I joined Neuro-Bio to gain experience in laboratory practice and how this can be used to gain knowledge about or confirm/deny real life scientific theories. However, being an undergraduate intern, I didn’t anticipate that I would have as much input into what techniques are used and how the research is conducted. Instead, I am much more hands on than I expected and feel I am making a real difference in the day to day work I am doing. The small team at Neuro-Bio means I have plenty of opportunities to refine key laboratory techniques such as Pierce Assays and ELISA tests with one on one guidance from the senior scientists.”
