Baroness Greenfield, Founder and CEO of Neuro-Bio Ltd is a neuroscientist and has published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals over the course of her 40-year career, based mainly at Oxford University. She holds 32 honorary degrees from UK and foreign universities, has received numerous honours including the Legion d’Honneur from the French Government, an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians, The American Academy of Achievement Golden Plate Award, and The Australian Medical Research Society Medal. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Tim is a chartered accountant with many years’ experience acting as a CFO or Finance Director for a number of different companies in a variety of business sectors.

Tim qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 in London and in the same year he left practice to join The Britt Allcroft Group Limited (subsequently renamed Gullane Entertainment plc) on the South Coast which owned the IP rights over Thomas the Tank Engine.  Over the next ten years, he was a key member of the senior management team that floated the media company in 1996 onto the main market of the London Stock Exchange and grew the business significantly thereafter through a mixture of internal growth and a succession of acquisitions including the purchase of Guinness World Records for approximately £45m from Diageo.

After leaving Gullane in 2001, Tim worked initially as an independent consultant, advising and in some cases investing in companies in the publishing, IT, telecoms and media sectors.  Tim co-founded his own firm of Chartered Accountants (Avonglen Limited) in 2003 with two other partners based on Southampton Science Park and currently provides CFO services to a small portfolio of mainly technology based businesses.

Dr Sara Garcia-Ratés

Sara graduated from the University of Barcelona, with a PhD in Neuropharmacology and Drug development. She started her career with Prof Susan Greenfield as a postdoctoral researcher exploring novel approaches to neurodegeneration at Oxford University and has continued this work while transitioning from academia to the private sector. She has considerable experience in research and development and extensive expertise relating to the nicotinic receptor – a main focus for Neuro-Bio.
Paul Morrill

Scientific Director

Paul graduated with a BSc in Biology from the University of Southampton before leaving academia for the private sector. This commercial experience proved invaluable for Neuro-Bio when he joined the company, initially as a Research Scientist, before progressing to Lab Director and now Scientific Director, where he is responsible for steering the direction of the company’s external collaborations and overseeing our in-house research.

Emily has had a wide range of experience in the service industry, from catering to leisure organisations. Building on this expertise she has then served as Executive Assistant to Baroness Greenfield for the last 9 years.

Lavinia brings several years of experience in the fast and busy luxury retail industry of Bicester Village, working as Assistant Manager. Developing various tasks through the years, from training new staff members up to Administration, HR, recruitment, and customer care. She has joined the team as Office manager.
