September is World Alzheimer’s Month 🧠
Why do we raise awareness? Because the facts speak for themselves!
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, making up 60 – 70% of cases.
Over 55 million people worldwide live with dementia 🌍
Dementia is the 7th leading cause of death globally and a major cause of disability in older adults.
In the UK, around 982,000 people are living with dementia – a number set to rise sharply.
Care costs are projected to almost double to £90 billion/year by 2040.
This month, we continue and commit to:
🔸 Raise awareness
🔸 Support research & care
🔸 Reduce stigma
🔸 Learn the early signs
Awareness fuels research, research fuels hope – and hope changes lives.
