At Neuro-Bio, we’re proud to be supported by a vibrant community of investors – some who’ve stood with us for many years, and others who have more recently joined our mission. Each of them brings genuine belief in our science and a shared excitement for what lies ahead. Their confidence and encouragement drive us forward every day, and we’re truly grateful to have them alongside us as we work to transform the future of neurodegenerative disease research.

We’re honoured to share insights from some of our investors, whose belief in our work continues to propel us forward:

I have both professional and personal reasons for investing in Neuro-Bio’s mission to reduce the awful effects of Alzheimer’s disease. As an actuary specialising in the data science of longevity, the consequences of the lack of progress in Alzheimer’s on the Baby Boomer bulge really stands out, now appearing on one-in-ten death certificates.  Over the next 20 years, the economic costs of caring are expected to double if we continue as we are.

But those stark statistics hide the horrendous impact of the long process of losing a loved one. I know that pain from witnessing the cognitive decline of both my grandmother (a school teacher and actor)  and my dad (a neuropathologist).

As a young statistician, I worked with my dad in his pathology lab, he studied the end-of-life results of Alzheimer’s down the microscope after death, no doubt motivated by his Mum’s dementia.  Four decades on, and the research has advanced into understanding the underlying aging processes of living people in middle age, at a molecular level.  There is much to like in Neuro-Bio’s distinctively different approach to Alzheimer’s. I am excited by the emerging results of its game-changing brain health test. The amazing NB team could be on the cusp of a breakthrough that would be as profound as antibiotics. It deserves to be funded on more than a shoestring budget.

I invested in Neuro-Bio because it ticked so many boxes for me. I was impressed with their mission statement and the caliber of their senior management. I had decided to invest in the medical research sector, and I was looking at the macro statistics for the ageing sector.
What motivates me to continue supporting their work? There is no guarantee of success, but I am pleased with the way that the business has continually reinvented itself.
