On Monday 26th August, Baroness Greenfield visited the UNSW Research University where she gave a talk “A Novel Approach to Alzheimer’s Disease”.

Baroness Greenfield emphasised that Alzheimer’s is the biggest unmet clinical need of our time due to an incomplete understanding of the neurodegeneration process. Her talk focused on T14, a little-known peptide that is doubled in the Alzheimer’s brain. Detection of T14 could enable pre-symptomatic screening, while blockade with a cyclated variant (NBP14) could lead to a different type of therapeutic strategy for treating Alzheimer’s.

We continue to work hard at Neuro-Bio to find a cure for this devastating disease!
