At the Alzheimer’s Society, they are committed to supporting early career researchers forge a long-lasting and successful career in dementia research. The ECR Retreat is a key part of this support – a networking and skills development event, it offers an opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers, gain peer-to-peer advice and learn practical skills to aid career progression.
Baroness Greenfield was delighted to attend this very special retreat and gave an inspirational talk about the devastating Alzheimer’s disease, which also explained Neuro-Bio’s current goal and quoting Bill Gates statement in September 2021 “The current process for diagnosing Alzheimer’s is a huge hurdle standing in the way of a breakthrough. We need a cheap, non-invasive way to diagnose patients early before their symptoms get too bad”. However Neuro-Bio want to diagnose patients early before their symptoms even appear!
