Our study demonstrates that T14, a 14-mer peptide associated with Alzheimer’s disease, impairs autophagy via the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1, contributing to the progression of the pathology. This finding adds a new layer of understanding to how T14 may promote neurodegeneration.
