Graduate Scientist position in Biomarker Development

  • A post has become available for a graduate-level research scientist to assist in the development of a novel first-in-class biomarker for the detection of Alzheimer’s disease in its pre-symptomatic phase. The successful candidate will be part of the biomarker team primarily performing test on human blood samples, as well as other human and rat tissues. She/he will be expected to have experience of antibody-based detection systems of at least a year whilst an expertise in relevant clinical statistics and industry would be very welcome. Good presentation and IT skills as well as the ability to work well in a team are also required. Start date 1st September 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary to be negotiated.   • Graduate Scientist Research Position

  • A post has become available for a graduate-level research scientist, preferably with a background in Neuroscience. The company focuses on developing a first-in-class companion biomarker and an innovative therapy to prevent the progression of neurodegeneration in its pre-symptomatic phase. The successful candidate will be part of the drug discovery team primarily performing ex-vivo screening studies using the Western Blot technique: she/he will therefore be expected to have general laboratory familiarity as well as experience of antibody-based detection systems. Good presentation and IT skills as well as the ability to work well in a team are also required. Start date 1st October 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary to be negotiated.     Neuro-Bio Ltd has a very successful Internship Programme and welcomes applications from all appropriately qualified persons.

    • Spaces are limited and you will be required to commit for a minimum period of 2 months.
    • Applicants must be over 18 years old and ideally would not need a stipend.

    We have had much success to date with our internship program, with early stage researchers using their experience at Neuro-Bio as a firm foundation for a career within industry and academia.
